This meat company, it’s employees and it’s products are ALL 5 ⭐️’s…… Period. Offer great meat selections from everyday meats to exotics. They have sauces, marinades and spices and all of it are at great prices. If all that isn’t good enough, the employees are simply the best. As in super fresh meat.. the best meat company anywhere around.
Great place to get the Louisiana products you miss and love. Deboned Chicken stuffed with rice dressing and shrimp, or crawfish, or just plain rice dressing is Awesome! Easy to prepare and down right delicious! Boudin is on hand, tasso, turtle meat, alligator meat, prepared gumbo of various kinds, King cake in season(plain, cream cheese, and Boston creme) and this is legit from Louisiana directly. Turducken is made to order. Spices and seasonings, pheasant, frog legs, ... I think you get it.... they have a wide variety of products on top of the fresh meats and sausages. The family that runs it are super nice and helpful. You won't go wrong coming here!
Being on chemo this year I entrusted my turkey to Cajun meats. We ordered the fried turkey and I have never been more disappointed. It was dehydrated looking it was so overdone. That was a bland, dry bird that woukd choke you going down. No one eequested seconds. The dressing was extremely salty. Never again!
We bought a turducken but got a turen…. Had good expectations based on prior reviews but sadly disappointed by them being cheap on the ingredients. While flavor was good, I have to give them 2 points because what we got was a turen, meaning there was basically no duck meat - see the tiny piece of dark meat at the top in the picture. That’s 1/3 of the key ingredient missing. Recommend therefore you buy somewhere else or make it yourself instead. Also the net they use to wrap it, takes off the skin when you take it off once done. Would be better to use string to keep it wrapped while in the oven.
In a world of bad customer service being the normal this place is amazing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in came in for some boudin and was treated to a sample of some! Let me be clear this is a butcher shop not a restaurant so everything is take home and eat. As you can see I left buying a pretty big bag of items. I got sausage,boudin,gumbo ,tasso a stuffed chicken all of which was great especially the stuffed chicken. Really want to get the famous turducken for the holiday season I will be back for sure
We couldn’t be more impressed with the deliciousness that is the sausage stuffed deboned chicken!!! Will gladly make the trip from Rome often! Cannot wait to try the other goodies I purchased! You owe it to yourself to support these folks!
Just had CMC cook a fowl de cochon....basically a turducken inside a deboned pig...I had them smoke it for me for a party I was throwing. EVERYTHING went flawlessly, the guest of honor was ready at 9am I arrived at 9am and was out the door at 9:17 which included a little shopping.
The fdc was amazing I had the 120qt cooler in the back seat...the really wrapped it well and explained how to serve it, cut it and roll all the foil to prevent messes. Everyone took home plenty of food (23 of us) and it was almost to hot for ungloved hands to pick up at 1pm. EVERYTHING I have had from Cajun Meat Co has been fresh, delicious and I can get any kind of Cajun specialty products. Their boudin is excellent. The fowl de cochon was over the top and along with the great customer service made for a memorable party. Thanks Chad and the incredible staff...WELL DONE!
Very disappointed with the lack of duck inside of the turducken!! Which is overrated and overpriced- and the turkey lacked flavor once cooked as the package instructed. Buyer Beware on purchasing the turducken. Not worth the risk or price. 😞 …
